About the Food Pantry

Our food pantry is organized by Lois McLaughlin and is primarlily stocked by the parishioners, who bring groceries to the weekly masses. It is supplemented by collections from the Allegany-Limestone schools, the Postal Workers and our own Religious Education students. This past year we received gifts from Cutco, Olean First Baptists Church, The GOAC and private donations, which enabled us to purchase some meat to distribute, which we normally are not able to do.

Should there be a shortage, a notice in the bulletin brings in immediate response from our parishioners and we are very grateful to them.

We provide a three day supply of food per person per household, approximately thirty individuals weekly
God Does Provide

Last Fall, our funds were lower than they have ever been and we had to turn people away, which in itself is hard to do. A gentleman came to The Bridge and gave us a $1,000 check. That same day $400 game from the GOAC and another person stopped by The Bridge and donated $200. It was Friday the 13th and a lucky day for The Bridge. God truly blesses us in our ministry.
